Nick has a disability. He also has a full-time job with benefits, drives, lives independently and takes care of his cat.
But Nick's story isn't about proving that he is extraordinary because he has a disability. It's about something much simpler: Nick was given an opportunity to show what he could do.
Too many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities never get that opportunity. Their abilities are overlooked before they ever have a chance to be seen.
